Luxury Kitchen Renovation
My luxury kitchen renovation is officially under way and I can’t wait to see this project through! Can you believe I’ve waited until 2015 to remodel our early 80’s home? We aren’t just remodeling the kitchen-we are updating nearly the entire house!
Let’s start with the kitchen first. I honestly fell in love with this sophisticated look. The color scheme, materials, textures and hardware all come together to create a style that is luxury/mod with so much charm.
My husband was not going to let this commence without a sensible appliance collection that he too would enjoy being as he does most of the cooking. His experience at Sysco Foods the last 13 years has given him an edge on knowing what is state-of-the-art in the kitchen.. In other words, he is extremely spoiled. Fine by me because I’m game for having all the features he wants as well. Sub-zero refrigeration, Wolf gas range, and Bosch dishwasher. If we were going to do this, we were going to do it right. All I requested was that any stainless steel, aside from the range, be paneled. The kitchen’s size is still in tact, and I didn’t want to engulf or overwhelm the space with an overload of stainless steel.
Custom cabinets are almost complete. Waiting on stain color and fine tuning. The marble is perhaps my favorite… we picked out a very close replica to what is shown on my inspiration photos! The contrast against the warm cabinets will be so beautiful; especially as I have opted for the marble to run up as the backsplash as well.
