A Fishing Themed Birthday for My Little Fisherman!
I can’t believe my baby boy is one! What in the world is going on?! I feel like I just had him a couple months ago!
Last Saturday we celebrated Fisher’s first birthday with family and friends. It was a
‘Gone Fishin'” theme
with a vintage kind of vibe. I’ve been planning this party since before Fisher was born! Psycho, I know. But, I couldn’t help myself! Old fashioned lures, lollipop bobbers, bobber lights, fishing baskets, and even a tackle box filled with gummy worms and bait themed goodies for the kiddos to take home with them. I had so much fun decorating this party!
My invitations are by @Ashlynnelliff and she does amazing custom work. Check out her Instagram for hundreds of options for all KINDS of themed parties. She can change up the designs to whatever you have your vision set to. Along with party invites, she also creates wedding invitations, and is a talented photographer! So creative! I loved working with her and the invitations for Fisher’s party came out absolutely perfect!
I had several other major collaborations that really helped me pull this party all together. One of my other favs was a partnership with @magnoliabloomboutique Tiffany is the owner of this super cute shop of charming event décor and balloons for parties. She sent me the balloon garland to go above Fisher’s desert table, and it couldn’t have turned out any cuter! I was so in love with the packaging the garland came in. The garland came with step by step instructions as to how to assemble the balloons. She also has letter balloons, which are also shown on the display. It was the cutest thing! I would definitely recommend checking her out. If there’s one thing that makes a party a PARTY it’s balloons!
I also partnered up with Nothing Bundt Cakes for the yummiest mini bundt cupcakes EVER! They are one of Kirk’s customers, so luckily for me I have had plenty of treats from their shop! They have such delicious cakes and mini bundts I knew I had to have these for everyone to try at the party. I made Fisher’s smash cake myself. The topper is from Etsy by SpicySweetLife… His high chair garland is also Etsy by, HouseOfLayayt .
The stump slabs of wood I served on are from Hobby Lobby, along with most of the vintage looking fishing décor. The fishing bobber lights are also HL. Who Knew!? I bought the lollipop bobbers from Amazon and the fish netting. I bought a cute magnetic fishing game that came with 2 fishing poles to let the little kids “go fishin” and put them in a little blow up pool outside (also Amazon). That kept the littles entertained and they obviously loved getting in the actual pool!
This vintage fishing party turned out to be so fun! It was intimate, which is what we wanted, and I am so fortunate to have such amazing family and friends in Fisher’s life!
